Grave / Brandon Heat - Pen and Ink

Another in Pen and Ink, this time of 'BUHRANDOHN HEATU' from Gungrave. Seriously, Andy McDowell's Japanese voice actor must have had a ton of fun during recording saying that. Anyway, this is by far the biggest and most detailed Pan and Ink I've done for a while. Apart from the inner thigh there, I really like how this one has turned out.

Monkey D. Luffy - Acrylic

Another super speedy one, this time in Acrylic. Not the most precise work I've ever done, but that's the nature of the beast I suppose. I don't really like using Acrylic if I can avoid it, but I wanted to practice with it so I can get better. It doesn't really work well with shading, at least for me anyway, so it looks a bit more 'Pop Art' than I wanted. Oh well, what're you gonna do?

Edward and Al - Watercolour

If there's ever a piece that I've ever done that I would consider the best, this would be a candidate for that title, not that it means much. After buying Hiromu Arakawa's book, 'The Art Of Fullmetal Alchemist', I was truly inspired to up my game and improve. She recommends using a special kind of Marker Pen for colouring things like this, but I tried watercolour out again. Needless to say, it looks a lot better than the laast time I tried. Definately proud of this one. I may redo this when I buy some of those Markers.

The One Piece Avengers (Watercolour)

This one was purely just to practice using Watercolour, (which I'm still not great at admittedly), but I like how this has turned out. I redrew this from a picture I actually found on Memebase, (gotta love the fandom base page!)

I have a number of problems with using Watercolour, as I feel that I can't control it as well as a Pen/Pencil. I really screwed up both Sanji and Usopp, not to mention the fact that Zoro looks like he's trying to pass a kidney stone. Oh well, with a bit more practice, I might one day get the knack for Watercolour.
Natsu Dragneel (Pencil)

Another Pencil anime piece, this time starring our fire breathing hero of the Fairy Tail guild, Natsu. I've gradually been doing more in pencil than usual, this being one of the technically better ones. I can't really pick faults with this one like I usually can with other pencil drawings, so I am actually really proud of this one. I even think I managed to get the shading almost right!

The Elric Brothers (Pencil)

Don't really know what to say about this particular piece, apart from how depressed Ed looks (well, he did lose two limbs, a brother and his Mum, so whatever.) But, I think that even in only pencil, this one is another of my favourites.

I kinda messed up Ed's face a little, his eyes look a little screwy, but apart from that, I really enjoyed making this one. I remember that when I was drawing this one, I was having a few family problems, so this one was kind of a release of all that pent up stuff.

Shading with pencil usually ain't my style, but I decided to give it a go for this one, I think it looks okay.

Travis Touchdown (Pen/Ink)

After much battling with myself, I finally decided to start keeping a Blog of all the work I do now that I've finished College, seeing as it is all purely for me now. Don't really know how often I'll update this, but I've got a few bits and pieces from my Portfolio I just wanted to back up on here.

But anyway, seeing as I have been playing a heck of a lot of No More Heroes recently, I thought the most appropriate piece of my art to upload first would be this one of Travis. I personally really like this style more than any other and I use it a heck of a lot in my work.

By using an official artwork for the game as reference, all I did was just re - draw it with only black and red pen. Simple, yet effective. I'm fairly proud of this one admittedly.
